So,Isadora's story was not what I was expecting. The Author has created a truly captivating world here. It's fascinating to read about the relationships between the Ancients and their first sired. Isadora and Diomedes.they had such a beautiful connection and their back story, while a bit difficult to read, was captivating. We also get to find out about the connection between her and Elias.I started of not liking him very much but was definitely converted by the end. (Yes,I had to use a True Blood gif.Eric can certainly sex it up!!) Like I said there is a lot more of Alasdair,Leo and Vasilios.and,my God,these guys are seriously sexy together.
The story is told from multiple POV'S and I noticed a few people didn't like this but it TOTALLY worked for me,I just loved getting into the minds of these amazing characters. Oh,and,I've got a new favourite character.the delicious Paris!! I cannot wait for the next one. I don't read loads of PNR but do enjoy them and this is definitely becoming one of my favourites. I think if you've read and enjoyed Alasdair, this is a must read. LIVE AMAZON US - 5 BRILLIANT STARS Ms. Ella frank you are truly a genius!

She knows what to do when it’s needed. I loved that I learn more about her and her past. The boys are hotter than ever in this book.
Leo, Alasdair and Vasilios are one of the sexiest part in the book these three have stolen my heart! Elias is mysterious and oh so tough. Diomedes, omg I didn't know a lot about him but now I can say that I love him as well. He truly cares for Isadora. Thanos, my poor baby is angry but he finds a new friend. And soon we will learn more about him!!! I'm not say anything else but guys you should definitely read this book!!I highly recommend it to anyone!! 4 Stars My my, Ella Frank, what a twisted tale you weave.
The Masters Among Monsters series continues with Isadora, and all the puzzle pieces from the previous books begin to slowly put themselves together. But while you get answers to some things, you're left with plenty more questions. Truth be told, I struggled with my rating for a bit. Do I rate this for what it was or what I thought it would be?

Truth be told, I struggled with my rating for a bit. Do I rate this for what it was or what I thought it would be? But Ella Frank has never been conventional, and she's not one to be put in a box. This series proves exactly that. The woman is a chameleon of genres and her sinfully sexy writing style is sure to hook any reader. Her Masters Among Monsters series, however, is unlike anything I've read, not only by her, but anyone. Yes, it's PNR, but if you're expecting traditional romance, don't hold your breath.
MAM is sure to break some molds just like the characters within it. I do not wish to break you. I wish to fuck you.'
If you're thinking that each book is a only a romance for each character that's named on it, think again. It's so much more than that and it's certainly not meant to be read as standalones. Isadora and Elias clearly have a history together, yet after the events of the previous book, it's clear that they are on opposite ends of what looks to be an upcoming war between the vampires and an entity that is still unknown.

Who is Elias? Who is Leonidas? And who is the newcomer, Paris? Isadora delves into the history of how Isadora came to be turned; Deomedes, the ancient that saved her when he turned her; and her current situation with Elias Fontana. Each one of these characters has a POV. Not only that, but a large part of the book is still dedicated to the story of Leo, Alasdair and Vasilios.
In addition to all these POVs, we also get one for Paris, Eton, and a little taste of Thanos. I wasn't expecting quite so many POVs, and I had also expected Isadora to be more focused on the romance aspect between Isadora and Elias.
But this book is so much more than that. Ella has taken the big picture and broke it up into three parts. Each book offers another piece of the puzzle, but it's impossible to do so without continuing what began in the first one. So while this has the addition of more history on Isadora, it's also very much a continuance for the rest of the characters.
It's not cut and dry and it's anything but black and white. It's sensual and delicious world building along with an incredibly erotic romance that's anything but ordinary. Is there really any wonder why this author continues to be an auto-buy for me?
While the book ends in as good a place as it can, all things considered, it's clear there's much more to come. And I for one cannot wait to see how everything concludes. ARC courtesy of author in exchange for an honest review Find me on.

' I especially have to mention my likelyhood to any past scene, I love the flashbacks, the scenes that took part in ancient Greece and we got a glimpse in Isadora's life. I was really intrigued by the Ancient who turned her, Diomedes and I felt for him. I didn't know who to root for. Both Elias and Diomedes were equal opponents when it came to their parts in Isadora's life. I may or may not had rooted more for her Ancient, but that's irrelevant;) I didn't mind the multiple POVs, although it could get a little confusing at times, I liked getting into their heads and I loved that we had so many parts of the heroes from the previous book, although at times I felt like I expected this book to be more focused on Isadora and it wasn't that much. I wanted it to delve more on her story and instead I felt like it wasn't enough.
I strongly recommend you to read this series if you're a fan of paranormal reads, sexy vampires who like to get it on and they don't care if it's a boy or a girl, so you get many scorching scenes either you like m/f, m/m, f/f, m/m/m etc. ARC was kindly provided in exchange for an honest review. What a story!!
I was so scared to begin Isadora. I remember I even sent my first message to an author after reading Alasdair. I wanted Ella to reassure me on the direction she wanted to take with this story.
I have to laugh at myself right now because I should have never doubted her. What she did with Isadora was exactly what it needed to be. Isadora starts exactly where Alasdair ends so if you have troubled remembering a few things, I suggest you read the last chapter and you'll be all set. 'Ton What a story!! 'Tonight, you will be ours and we will be yours' It's safe to say Ella is a master at story telling. What she did here is spectacular. You have so many pov' it could have been pretty confusing. But it's the other way around.
Everything is there for a reason and when needed. You had questions after Alasdair, you'll get some answers but everything is going to be clear in Thanos, the third book that comes out on March 15. Just like in Alasdair, you'll get to know more about Isadora and her Ancient. That particular aspect was really interesting to me. You can sense the difference there are between all of them.
The relation Isadora has couldn't be more different than the one Alasdair has with Vasilios. And the one Thanos has seems even more awkward. You'll witness a lot of dynamics between all Ancients and their first-sired. It's captivating. Their bond is special in every way. “Are you ready to give in to that darkness?
To sell your soul to us? Because that is what you are doing. Handing your soul over for me to command.” You already know Leo and Elias but a third person enters in this story, it's Paris. With him there, all 'players' are almost in place for the big final. The only one who seems to know what happens in their life is Elias. He knows their purpose, what need to be done but he seems clueless in how to do it.
To complicate everything, you have not only the role all three have to play to focus on but also their personal relation with the vampires. You already know the attraction Leo has for Alasdair&Vasilios. Paris is going to meet Thanos at some point and Elias is going to be pushed back into his history with Isadora. The guy is strong, like I said he has a goal to reach but what happened 11years ago with Isadora clouds his judgement. He feels betrayed but he is still very much attracted to her. 'You will die, and for what?” “For loving the wrong woman.” Alasdair was very sexual. Isadora is more sensual but trust Ella Frank to give us the tension needed to make some spectacular steamy sex scenes.
You all know by know I'm fan of threesome but the word here takes a new meaning, a new level of heat. Now I'm eager to know more. How this will end? How all three ' humans' are going to meet their goal? Is it the real purpose? How are the vampires going to deal with their feelings? How everything is going to wrap up and will I have an HEA?
See many more answers to come. “Real betrayal can only be felt when you love someone.” ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. I thought that I loved Alasdair but Isadora took my heart. Her story was so heartbreaking and I really felt sorry for her.

First, there was. Then there was. And a little bit of. And a whole lot of. It was great and the perv in me really loved it.
I can't wait for Thanos and Paris!! Where to even begin You will need to keep a firm grip on your wits, emotions and panties while reading Isadora and forget every thought you had on what this book might be. It is not a conventional romance and it is definitely unlike any other PNR book I have ever read. Absolutely brilliant! With Isadora, we pick up where Alasdair left off, right in the middle of the confrontation between Isadora and Elias. I loved Isadora as a character. She is strong and intelligent and in a world ruled by those who are the most dominant and violent, she brings a certain feminine flair. We get to see a bit more of Isadora’s painful history and she becomes a little more ‘human’ during the course of the book.
Although Isadora and her history do feature in the book, it is also a continuation of the story between Leonidas, Alasdair and Vasilios as well as a host of other characters. Isadora is an intense and highly erotic story. This story weaves a very tangled web and I was kept on the edge of my seat and while some questions were answered, a lot more were presented. Isadora knows pain with the loss she's endured.
And with the recent change in her dynamics with Elias, it showed that the their past is not quite buried in the past. Elias, whether he wanted to acknowledge his feelings or not for Isadora, is just as affected. Thanos is now facing the consequences of the events from the first book.
Their sires, including Alasdair's, is preoccupied with how things are going down. And last but certainly not least, Alasdair and Leonidas were further making sense of what they mean to each other. It's quite engrossing reading about this world that Ella has created, the vampire world vis-a-vis the mythological world. I didn't think it would make sense. It still doesn't fully make sense seeing there's still a third book to this, but the roles each one play, how it affect others, the flashback to the past, the connection they have in the present time, the dichotomous feelings, like I said, all fascinating. And seeing this is erotica, can't forget the sizzling moments, the passion and interplay among the key players. While I thought that Ella could have pushed it a bit more in Alasdair, I guess I got what I wish for here.On the one hand, there's a lot of sexual tension building up to the passion, a lot of almost-but-not-quite moments; frustrating and glee-inducing at the same time.
Yet, on the other hand, the moment things happened, a lot of it did indeed push my limits in my erotica read, and paranormal to boot. There's a bit of everything that will satisfy every erotica readers out there, as in a bit of M/M, F/F, menage, and voyeurism, in addition to straight erotica; like I said, as in a bit of everything. These vampires def have their needs, haven't they! If you're ok with this, even if you're not a PNR reader like me, then I think it's a good way to get lost in this world that Ella's built and ultimately read about loss, pain and love.

Despite what Elias has done to Isadora and Thanos, Diomedes grudgingly welcomes him and gives him a chance to earn their trust. Goodness, the histories of these vampires breaks my heart. Each view we get is another glimpse into their humanity and I realized that Diomedes may be the most compassionate and 'humanistic' character of them all.
The end gives a lead in to Book 3, which will be about Thanos, and we see that Eton is brokenhearted. I can't wait to find out more about these particular men and how they came to find each other. Release Date: January 11, 2016 Genre: Paranormal romance with a M/M component POV: Multiple - 3rd person Steam: 4 out of 5 Series or standalone: Book 2 of the Masters Among Monsters series.A copy was generously provided for an honest review. Masters Among Monsters is the epitome of a nonconventional PNR. The reason I only rated this 3 stars is purely due to my personal preference towards something more conventional.
First of all, there are simply too many POVs. Everyone seems to have their own voice in here. I don't even know who is the person I should be focusing on.
I was expecting a romance between the female vap, Isadora and the vamp hunter, Elias. But that's not the case.

The worst is the F/F scene between Isadora and her lover. I was seriously caught off guard by that. Don't get me started with Isadora's master, Diomedes. Why is everyone here are into some sort of menage. I see that most of my GR friends seem to love this one.
I guess I'm more of a traditional woman who prefer her clean cut romance. Masters Among Monsters is too confusing, taboo and all over the place for me. 4 Stars I am really digging this series. But here’s the thing: this series has nine main characters, each having their own points of view throughout this story. Some characters feature more than others, but the constant change in narrative made this book completely addictive for me as a reader.
I wasn’t all that upset that Isadora didn’t feature as heavily as I expected going in. This could have something to do with the fact that she was the only female character in what is essentially a cast of hot, mostly dangerous men, all of whom are highly appealing characters in their own right. The romance aspect within this series is also unconventional. Where the nine MC’s are concerned, I have basically separated them into 3 groups of 3 in my mind, with each group engaging in their own brand of an emotional and physical relationship. Threesomes aren’t my thing and I tend to avoid reading books which heavily feature this type of relationship dynamic, but I must say that here, in this particular story, what Ella Frank has masterfully created works. I find myself eager for each of the three-way dynamics, and I don’t just mean in a physical sense. I love the way these characters interact with one another.
I’m quite enthralled by the Alasdair/Leo/Vasilios dynamic and I’m definitely keen to see what will unfold between Thanos, Paris and Eton in the next story. 3.5 Stars Let me again preface with this. Granted the mystery is still up in the air, but I foresee a fortuitous outcome rather than a nefarious intent.
Take note that though the sexual tension and innuendo is as high as ever, an abundance of actual full on smex is still lacking as it did in the first. Perhaps take heart that there's a smorgasbord of variety - filled with voyeurism, exhibitionism, as well as mm, mmm, mf, and ff relationships throughout. Regardless, I'm hooked, and I truly look forward to the finale. Isadora (Masters Among Monsters #2) by Ella Frank 5 stars!! “Damn her for being the one he could never forget.

“Damn her for being the one he could never forget. And the one he was destined to destroy.” I am not a huge paranormal reader, I even body swerved it at any and every opportunity before I became addicted to anything that Amy Bartol penned thanks to a friend that strong armed me to read it, but sometimes you have to hold your hands up and admit you were wrong. I have followed Ella Frank from the beginning, an author I stumbled across thanks to an Amazon recommendation and I have never looked back.
Ella Frank has turned her hand to many genres and in my opinion she has excelled in all of them, I have to put my hands up and say is there anything that Ella Frank cannot write? This is one author whose writing style I can connect with, Ella Frank never fails to draw me into her stories and her characters. She always nails character connection to the point where I personally am totally immersed in their life and feel like I am living it, that is an amazing talent to have and not many authors can pull it off. “Se empistevome. I trust you.” I loved the first book in this series, Alasdair, and I was eagerly anticipating reading Isadora. I had become so immersed in this world of vampires that Ella Frank had painstakingly created that I didn’t want to leave and the next book could not come soon enough. So, when Isadora hit my kindle I was buzzing with anticipation, after the ending of Alasdair I needed to dive in and so I did.
“I believe it was a footprint of sorts. A moment imprinted in time.” Once again it did not take long to be whisked away into Ella’s world of our incredibly hot Greek God sired vampires. A clan that were fighting for their survival and after Alasdair, a clan that knew they were up against an unknown yet formidable opponent. In this book the story continues on from Alasdair so it is imperative that you have read Alasdair before starting Isadora.
While this book does centre around Isadora and her sire Diomedes it also centres around her past/present relationship with Elias. Alasdair, Vasilios, Leo, Thanos et al however, still have a major part to play and their stories are continued throughout this book. “What kind of monster have you become?” “The one you have made me.” There is something for everyone in this book, in true Ella Frank style she turns up the heat with some exquisite and heart wrenching M/M, M/M/M, M/F, M/F/M and F/F scenes, nothing gratuitous and all scenes having their part to play in this amazing story. As I mentioned in my Alasdair review I love the history that is woven in amongst this story and find myself being transported back to Ancient Greece as Ella Frank paints the history of these vampires with intense clarity. The fight continues for these vampires and while I would love to go into details it would ruin it for you the reader so I will have to refrain. “If your god is up there, I am sure he will soon show his hand.
Because, as of now, his pawn has become my queen.” This series is proving to be one intense read, the suspense element keeps the pages turning frantically while the angst is perfectly balanced with their pasts and their romantic liaisons. This is a story about incredible bonds, loyalty, love and lust all interlaced with the ever present threat of danger, sacrifice and ultimately death.
While this web is extremely tangled Ella Frank steers you through their stories with visceral descriptions, intense dialogue and deep connections that cannot fail to grab you by the heart. “You are the strength in my backbone, the fire in my blood. You are the conviction in my actions, and with you beside me, it is easy to be brave.” I take my hat off to you once again Ella Frank, I cannot express how much I am in love with this series and am desperately itching for more. Thanos is up next and knowing the pain and depression that this formidable Vampire is currently going through I cannot wait to see how his story is going to evolve while still keeping up with all the others. The fact that the life and demeanour of a vampire directly affects their sire and Eton’s pain is so vividly reflected throughout this story just pulls me into Thanos’s story even more. Will the prophecies come true or will Vasilios, Diomedes and Eton keep their family from an untimely and unwarranted demise?
“And you are far too interesting to hide away in a room full of darkness and shadows.” Bring it on, as quick as possible please! Ya’ll, I just do not know what to say. I am almost speechless because I really loved the first book in this series, Alasdair. It was sexy and mysterious and I fell in love with Leo and Alasdair but nothing and I mean absolutely nothing prepared me for how much I would love Isadora.
I want to start by saying that you MUST MUST MUST read Alasdair first because it is the first book in this series and it definitely has a cliffy and while in this book we get to know Isadora and Thanos and their sires Ya’ll, I just do not know what to say. They are all very intertwined, in fact, and that is one of the main reasons I freaking loved this book. Oh, and Ella Frank you are a naughty girl! You had me pretty much hating the vampires, well all except Alasdair but this time around I grew to love and sympathize with them and man, now point of view is completely changed and I have no idea what is up from down or good from bad or what!
YOU TOTALLY SHOCKED ME AND SURPRISED ME! And I love that too! So this story just had SO MUCH ACTION and not just the kind in the sack. So much happens in this book. Some questions are answered but even more and more questions arise. Guys, I could not stop turning the pages. So we get Isadora’s story.
We get to watch Thanos and Paris finally meet! We get to visit some more with Alasdair and Vasilios and Leo for some man/man/man action. (No, there is not an echo in here) Just in case you don’t know what I mean: And good lordy sweet baby Jesus, it is smoking hot! In my humble opinion Ella Frank writes the absolute hell outta some m/m, or mmm mmm as I like to call it, so if you add another hot man in (and they are vampires) it is just out of this world sexy! I just loved this one. I found such pleasure in finding out about everyones past and getting a little clue in on the future but oh man there are so many questions yet to be answered and I absolutely cannot wait for Paris and Thanos.
I just know there story is going to be epic! With the way the last book ended, I needed this in my hands.
While this is Isadora's book we do get a lot of Vas, Leo, & Alasdair as well. What I wish was that their story was finished in their book and this was all about Isa. Don't get me wrong, I loved reading about them but sometimes I felt like her story was getting overshadowed. And can I be honest? The only reason I read this was for Vas, Leo and Alasdair. I wasn't sure if I wanted Isa's story but I did end up enjoying it 4.25 stars. With the way the last book ended, I needed this in my hands.

“I’ve always missed the light in my life, the rays of the warm sun. And the day I saw you, you lit up the temple as if the light had been coming from within. I wanted that light and I wanted Alasdair’s darkness.”.5 Sexy Vamp Stars!. Just when I thought this series couldn’t get any better, BAM! Isadora completely wowed me! This is book #2 in the series and it picks up right where Alasdair (book one) leaves you hanging.
Alasdair was one of my top reads of 2015 and Isadora has secured her spot for 2016. And YES, you most definitely need to read this series in order or you will be thoroughly messed up. The book may be titled Isadora, but you get a good healthy dose of all of your favorite sexy vamps from.5 Sexy Vamp Stars!.

I love the way that these relationships cultivate from book one into book two, and I personally was so excited to reunite with my favorite trio, Alasdair, Leo & Vasilios. I absolutely fell more in love with them, and I was so excited to see Leo come out of his shell and stand up for himself and what he wanted. Vasilios was my favorite from the first book, and he still is, but damn these other characters are giving him a run for his money!
By other characters, I’m talking about Isadora, Elias and Diomedes. I absolutely LOVE the dynamic between these three!! Like major love! Diomedes completely stole the show in my opinion. Isadora is his first sired, and the lengths he goes through to make her happy and protect her just made me totally fall for him. And then there’s Daphne. This was another first for me, and damn was it sexy as hell.
Between Elias, Daphne, and Diomedes, let’s just say that Isadora has had her fill of sexy time, she is one lucky lady vampire! You also get to know Eton and Thanos. Eton is an ancient along with Vasilios and Diomedes, and his first sired is Thanos.
The stuff that these ancients do in order to preserve their species is truly amazing and sweet. I don’t want to say that it’s sweet, but it totally is. These brutal killers, who supposedly have no heart, are some of the most heartwarming characters in this series, in my opinion. They may seem completely selfish, but when it comes to their family they give up so much, and turn into strong yet vulnerable beings. This book really took hold of my heart, not that the first book didn’t, but maybe because I know the characters better this time around.
I’m not going to lie and say I didn’t cry, because I totally did. I was so invested in what was going on with Isadora and her revelations, but also with what was going on with Leo, Paris and Elias. There were a lot of WOAH moments for sure, so much cool stuff goes on in this book and I can’t rave about it enough! Not only is this story erotic, it’s also breathtakingly beautiful in its words. Ella Frank has never let me down when it comes to telling a story that not only captivates you, but completely consumes you. And that ending! Oh I cannot wait to read more about Thanos in book #3.
This is for sure a must read series. Isadora starts right where left off. Isadora is in big trouble. Alasdair and Vasilios are in the process of handling Leo. Thanos is barely hanging on.
There is an underlying mystery as to how the vampires are connected to the three friends Leo, Elias, and Paris. And it is all coming together in one unpredictable and dangerous conflict. As I stated in my Alasdair review, I rarely read paranormal or vamp books anymore, but I am hooked on this series and these characters. This book is INTENS Isadora starts right where left off.

I think I held my breath or fanned myself through most of it.
There is so much going on. There are such intricate layers to the story and dynamics between the characters. There are mysteries and secrets. It is mesmerizing, wicked, erotic, and suspenseful. This one does focus on Isadora, her sire Diomedes, and Elias. But it also explores much more with Alasdair, Vasilios, and Leo and allows us to see more with Paris, Thanos and his sire, Eton.

All of the stories are intriguing, have depth, and are captivating and complex. The story revolves around love, death, sacrifice, fear, lust, bonds, manipulation, destiny, and danger. Every positive or erotic act seems to be layered with deadly intentions or threats. But there are deep connections forming that are hard to control or explain and that bring out more challenges. My heart broke for some of the pain these characters have faced and I could only hope that somehow through the confusion and chaos that they would find their way towards fulfilling the voids they were experiencing. I love the whole trio of Alasdair, Vasilios, and Leo. They are all so commanding, stubborn, intense, and hot together.
And even though Elias could make me angry and frustrated, I came to understand his conflict. I also enjoyed the story lines surrounding him, Isadora, and Diomedes and learning about their painful pasts. I admired Isadora and how she had faced challenges and became empowered. But for a vampire, she still seemed to have a heart, empathy, and loyalty. I felt for Thanos who was in such despair. And also for Paris who was thrust into this confusing, precarious situation without an anchor or much knowledge. The plot was full and intriguing with both interpersonal issues and with the suspenseful prophecy story line in the background.
I find the whole concept surrounding this story fascinating. The characters are well developed, interesting, powerful, and perfectly flawed. It was told in multiple points of view including all of the main characters in present and in flashbacks.
It drew me in and I very easily became sucked back into this compelling vampire world full of wicked debauchery and danger. As I was getting closer to the end, I was becoming more and more intrigued by Thanos and then all of a sudden it was over.
I was ready to keep going. I need his story now!
I am captivated by this scarred, sad, angry vampire, his relationship with his sire, and the person who has stumbled into his life in his darkest hour. I honestly cannot wait to see how all of their stories progress, for the big picture to be revealed, and to spend more time with these characters. Bring on Thanos!
